Last weekend I had the privilege of visiting beautiful Kingston, Washington with a friend on a bright and sunny day. It’s just a short ferry ride away and the views were amazing!
This ferry staycation was a nice break from our busy lives because it felt as if we were a world away. We are very blessed to live in a place with beautiful Puget Sound right next door.
After grabbing some homemade ice cream from a popular crepe shop we decided to walk down to the beach before the sun decided to go down. The best part was it wasn’t crowded and the views of the water were amazing.
It didn’t take long before a Blue Heron showed up looking for their afternoon meal. They were there quite a while not catching anything and we both felt sorry for this hungry bird. We decided to pray together and ask God to supply them with fish. Not two minutes later a fish came along and we watched the Heron gulp it down! We asked God again for another fish and sure enough — a second one was caught.
This was such a unique faith moment I just had to share it. Here’s a video of the Heron looking for the fish:
My friend and I were both in awe of how God is always with us and how He is listening to us at every moment. Even if you don’t think He’s there just remember that the great I Am is always with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Mark 11:24 NIV
